Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Mono app, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the service.

Description of Service

Mono is a habit tracking, goal setting, and journaling application designed to help you build positive routines and track personal progress. Features include check-in, timed, and quantity-based habit tracking; process and result-based goal tracking with milestones; mood journaling and gratitude logging; AI-powered assistance and suggestions; energy-aware habit adaptation; progress statistics and streak tracking; achievements, levels, and virtual rewards; and customization options including themes, fonts, and icons.

User Data

Mono is a local-first application. Your data is stored on your device by default. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and backing up your data. We are not liable for any loss of data stored locally on your device.

Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Mono app for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, reverse engineer, or extract the source code, use the app commercially, or transfer your license.

User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the app, including habits, goals, journal entries, and other personal data. By using cloud sync or AI features, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process your content solely for providing those services.

Subscription Plans

Mono offers four subscription tiers:

• Free: Limited to 3 habits and 2 goals, 5 AI messages per day, no cloud sync or data export
• Basic: Unlimited habits and goals, 20 AI messages per day, cloud sync, data export, custom themes
• Pro: Unlimited habits and goals, 100 AI messages per day, cloud sync, insights, full customization
• Max: Unlimited everything including AI messages, all features unlocked

Subscriptions are available as monthly, yearly, or lifetime purchases through the App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

AI Features

Mono includes AI-powered features for chat assistance, goal planning, journal prompts, and habit analysis. AI features are subject to daily usage limits based on your subscription plan.

AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI responses. You are responsible for evaluating and acting on AI suggestions at your own discretion.

Virtual Currency and Rewards

The app includes virtual currency ("Gems"), experience points ("XP"), and levels that can be earned through achievements and used to unlock cosmetic items such as themes, fonts, and icon packs.

• Virtual currency has no real-world monetary value
• Cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other users
• May be modified, reset, or discontinued at our discretion
• Cosmetic unlocks are non-refundable

Intellectual Property

The Mono app, including its design, graphics, themes, fonts, icons, and all other content created by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with the service, use automated systems to extract data, circumvent usage limits or rate limiting, impersonate any person or entity, or upload malicious code.

Data Export

Subscribers (Basic and above) may export their data at any time in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format through the app's settings.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the service available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Cloud sync and AI features may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Local features remain available offline.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including subscription features, AI capabilities, and virtual currency systems. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Mono is a productivity tool and is not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, or health advice. AI features provide suggestions only and should not be relied upon for health, financial, or other important decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of virtual currency or progress, or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding any claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mono and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these terms, abuses AI features or rate limits, or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mono regarding the service.
